This hands-on program guides the student step-by-step through field armorer operations of the SIG556 rifle with additional time provided to acquire thorough familiarization with the mechanical operation of this AR-based law enforcement and civilian carbine. Students will receive guidance on the disassembly/reassembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, and field repair of this rifle while instructors guide students through each step, encouraging active participation for maximum retention of the material covered. A three year certification is awarded upon successful completion of written and practical exams.
