Josh was the lead firearms instructor at one of the largest departments in Southern California. He has over 15 years of highly specialized law enforcement experience. Josh is a rescue diver and has prior assignments in an emergency operations air rescue unit. He was the lead instructor and course developer for shooting from helicopters and watercraft. He has prior duty assignments as a patrol field training officer, drug recognition expert and a federal narcotics taskforce officer. Josh is federally trained and certified in post blast investigations, explosive identification, national incident management and patterns of global terrorism. He is an active shooter instructor and has assisted with the development of related programs with multiple local, state, and federal agencies. Additionally he is an advanced tactical medic and held a position on a federal tactical medic taskforce. Josh is an active member of professional organizations such as the Airborne Law Enforcement Association, California Narcotics Officer Association, National Sheriff’s Association, and a life member of the National Rifle Association (NRA). Additionally he is a competitive shooter and member of the International Defensive Pistol Association and United States Practical Shooting Association.
