COURSES

Introduction to IDPA with Gerry Tetreau

Duration

International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) competition is America’s fastest growing practical pistol discipline and for good reason.

This course is designed for new or experienced shooters who want to improve or get started in this challenging way to improve gun handling skills. In this course students will cover IDPA scenarios that require the practical application of defensive skills, including drawing from concealment, shooting on the move, flashlight techniques, engaging reactive targets, weak hand and strong hand shooting, tactical reloads, and use of cover.

Prerequisite

This is an intermediate level class. The student needs to know and be able to demonstrate safe gun handling, weapon system familiarity, foundational marksmanship skills, and working from a holster.

Students failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements and/or who cannot meet and immediately demonstrate the minimum skills required for the specific class may be removed from IDPA training.
