These courses will test and challenge your shooting skills in a competitive manner.
Whether you are a USPSA, IDPA, Steel Challenge shooter or just want to become a better shooter, Gerry Tetreau, USPSA/IDPA Master Class shooter and retired US Army SFOD-D Operator, will take you through a unique and challenging course designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge to self-analyze your live and dry fire practice sessions to make you a Better Shooter.
Completion of Defensive Handgun Skills (Handgun 104) and multiple Sig Sauer Academy Skill Builders, Intro to IDPA, or being classified in IDPA or USPSA should provide you with the skill level necessary to successfully complete this class.
Students failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements and/or who cannot meet and immediately demonstrate the minimum skills required for the specific class may be removed from training. Please ensure you have read through the class description and fully understand our prerequisites before registering.
Starting off each session with the Tetreau Challenge, you will understand how to use the Warm-Up target to self-analyze your progress with pistol shooting fundamentals. We will then break down some basic classifiers to improve on your individual skills. You will leave knowing how to record your training sessions to evaluate improvement. Every class is slightly different with specific drills set to help with identified individual needs.
In addition to the above, moving targets will be introduced. Multiple repetitions of skill sets will help reinforce the lessons of the day to show you improvement. At least three challenging stages will end the day with the winner being awarded a prize.
